don’t know anything?
Birds in a cage don’t know rain,
don’t know how to hunt,
don’t have enemies.
All they know is their own
cozy, comfortable space.
Birds in a cage
are not anxious about food.
In exchange for love,
they sing.
Although their space looks cozy,
it’s dauntingly vast like an ocean in space,
where their charming friends
with octagonal shells can
swim gracefully,
under currents that swirl up
toward the boundless sky.
